Alaunia and Oceana (Drift) from Eastbourne
Trip organised by Thames Valley Police dive club.
Location/Boat: Sussex Shipwrecks
Cost: £50 for two dives
Co-ordinator: Contact Nora
Minimum Qualification Level: AOW
Sussex shipwrecks from Eastbourne (Sovereign Harbour). Ropes off at a slightly early 6:30am.
Alaunia (14200 ton liner) at 28m - sits up a massive 12m, very impressive dive if the visibility is good.
2nd dive drift over the Oceana - similar depth to seabed. This wreck also stands tall, so if careful you can drift over the wreck, drop in behind it out of the current and work along the side of the wreck before drifting off the end to complete the dive.
You will need 2 cylinders or twins as the boat will not return to shore between dives (and there is no accessible fill station in Eastbourne anyway!)
To book contact Nora, or if you don't have her details contact the Dive Organiser
to be put in touch.
