November Club Night – Guest Speaker – Robert Bailey
We have invited Robert Bailey to do a little presentation about his diving and photography experiences.
Robert is captivated by all things in nature. He's worked professionally on commercial television sets doing production photography, shot modern dance for the art department at the University of Calgary, and worked in a freelance capacity shooting a variety of subjects. Rob also worked as a NAUI scuba instructor up to training director level at the University of Calgary from 1993-1999, and is still an avid diver. He never dives without his camera.

Diving 2010 – A note from Bryan
As we come to the end of the 2009 diving season, I'd like to take a moment to say what a good season I think we've had. I've really enjoyed the weekends spent with old and new friends and I've been on some cracking dives. Thanks to everyone who took part, helped to coordinate or provided ideas for things to do and places to go.
As many of you are aware, October is when we do most of our booking for the coming year. So, I'm opening the floor to you to see what you want to do in 2010. Do you want to go somewhere new? Do you want to go back to somewhere we left off this season? Do you want to make sure we continue an old favourite? Let me know what you want to do and whether you want to help with the preparations. Here are some thoughts that have been running through my head:
- Pembroke - A perennial favourite. We managed 2 trips this year
- Farne Islands - I've had various requests to add this entry back to the list
- Babbacombe - Our traditional early-May bank holiday trip (assuming there is somewhere to park). Think cuttlefish hunting!
- Cornwall - The Manacles, Lundy, the Scilly Isles ... need I say more?
- Brighton - Had one of our best seasons yet out of Brighton (even dived both days at least once)
- Poole/Swanage - Another traditional haunt. When was your last trip on Swanage Diver?
- Weymouth/Portland - Lots to see and there are still some club members who didn't make it to the M2
What else? There was a request for Dover that didn't work out. There were the trips to Plymouth, Wittering, etc. Maybe a trip to Littlehampton or Eastbourne or .... I won't bore you any more with my ideas. This year, there have been loads of ideas about dive sites you wanted to visit. Let's keep up the momentum and plan for another great summer of diving in 2010.
To let Bryan know what you want to do by emailing him (email@example.com) or popping over to the Club Forums. (www.thedivingclub.co.uk)
